Today, I realized I might lose my job because some asshole customer complained about me to my district manager. His complaint? Girls can't work at video game stores. My DM agreed. FML

Today, at work, a table of girls complained to the manager about me. The complaint? "He's not hot enough to work here. We want a sexy server." The manager agreed with them and sent me home. I might lose my job because of a table of shallow women. FML

Today, a customer filed a formal complaint with corporate about me, because I wouldn't help her find things she wanted while I was off the clock. We were in a completely different store than the one where I actually work. FML

Today, a customer got angry with me, because store policy says we can't accept returns of unsealed video games unless there's actual damage to the disc. The guy got enraged and started yelling about how I'm a "useless fuckwhistle". I almost got written up for laughing so hard at the insult. FML

Today, a man tried to rob the store I work at. Before the guy was taken by the cops, he complained to my manager for "unfriendly behavior". He took it seriously and bitched me out for not providing "quality service" to our customers. FML

Oh, sexism. Never ceases to amaze me. There was a dad at the school I used to work for who would call in and scream at all the women, and then tell the men that "he couldn't believe they could handle working with so many women". FYL indeed, OP.

I had a lot of customer's come in and complain that there were a lot of girls working in a sporting goods store. They would always demean mostly me, because I was there all the time by saying stupid shit like "girls don't know anything about this, where's all the men who actually know something?" Pissed me off to no end but one of my male managers finally overheard one of these assholes and told him off. In a kind, professional manner of course.

Not that I'm taking the side of the DM, but maybe he just said that to get the customer to shut up. In the wonderful world of retail, "the customer is always right," even if they're being a dickish ass hole. I honestly think if your DM had a problem with a girl working in his store, it would have come up long before a customer said anything about it.

What an arse, pretty sure I actually know more hardcore female gamers than I do males. This is about the customer that is as for the DM I agree with lelo007 could be a case of agreeing to get someone off their back but not actually doing anything about it, but if something does happen and you are fired for being a woman then your DM is an arse too.
