OK, Wal-Mart brand soap is about the worst gift you could possibly give someone. If your finances are that bad; you can bake someone their favorite brand of cookies, make them a collage, or do any number of inexpensive things to demonstrate that you care about them. Soap, at best, implies thoughtlessness and at worst, gives an hurtful hint that no one needs as a gift. Yes, gifts should come from the heart...and this one clearly didn't!

Ten months and you're already buying him expensive crap?
I could see if it was one of those fancy soap/lotion etc. gift packages. I'd be more concerned that he wants a specialized car horn, that sounds pretty lame to me.
