Today, I saw my crush standing at the bus stop. I did the "I'm talking to someone on the phone thing," trying to be cool. Halfway through the conversation my phone actually rang, I quickly answered but it was my mom on loudspeaker yelling, "Did you bring your tampons?" FML

Not only did you make yourself look foolish, but your mom helped too. Congrats on "looking cool" though.

If you were really "trying to be cool", you would have just talked to the guy standing there. You were actually "trying to be an insecure idiot" when you pretended to talk on your phone. The sad thing is that you deluded yourself into believing the guy would give a rat's ass that you were having a phone conversation. Hopefully, for your sake, someday you'll learn.

You know what people really think when they see someone standing next to them talking on the phone? They think that person is annoying. Well...you managed to do that; if not to him, than to so many of the people who posted before me.

That would suck but omg u shoud've just walked over there and talked to him! come on for cryn out loud itz not that hard

If you like someone and you're talkin to someone on the phone, they'll probably think your talkin to your bf/gf. I know I would.

This was believable until the loudspeaker/tampon thing.

wow ur a dumbass! The taking on ur phone thing is not cool god u diserved ur mom to call u and say that!!!!!

Can somebody please explain to me this whole 'pretending to talk to somebody on the phone when my crush walks past' thing? I mean honestly, how is it meant to make one 'look cool'? If I saw somebody I know talking on the phone, all I'd think was "Oh, s/he's on the phone," or "I'd best wait till s/he finishes before going to talk to him/her, I don't want to interrupt." Does anybody actually think "OMG s/he's on the phone, s/he must be soooooo cool and have such an amaaaaaaazing social life - I think I'm in love!"? Don't be so silly in future, OP.
