#51, it's like when people say "Eggs are only from chickens." ... smack forehead.
that's sucks i'm sorry, you were just trying to surprise her and be nice, us picky vege eaters usually understand the effort. Next time ask?
Why wouldn't you have asked her what she likes, or if there was anything she didn't eat beforehand? What if she was allergic to something? I say you deserved it and the grocery store/butcher ripped you off. Oh maybe that was the FML? "Today, I tried to cook for my new girlfriend. I made something she didn't like because I was too dumb to ask. And to top it off the grocery store/butcher totally ripped me off. FML."
you people saying "dump her" are dumb. that is all.
Why would you spend $100 on a meal for your girlfriend if you have barely been going out with her? Which you obviously weren't for that long if you didn't already know she doesn't eat beef. Wow.
To all those people that say "dump her for not appreciating it" (#47): I've been a vegetarian for ten years. When you don't eat something for that long, your stomach can't tolerate it. If she didn't eat it, that was courtesy. Would you rather your hundred dollars worth of ribs in the fridge for lunch the next day, or thrown up an hour later into your toilet?

That sucks, but before you go all-out on a meal like that you should at least know what she likes and doesn't like.
