Today, I spent a solid four hours and over one hundred dollars preparing a nice fancy meal for my new girlfriend. A delicious three pound rack of ribs with a sweet and sour marinade. Steam broccoli with melted cheese. Home made buttermilk biscuits. I serve the meal. She doesn't eat beef. FML

That sucks, but before you go all-out on a meal like that you should at least know what she likes and doesn't like.

LOL @ 57 pig isnt the only animal with ribs....

And that is why you either spend that kind of money to go out to eat, or, you ask her what she does and doesn't eat

Yes, both pigs and cows HAVE ribs, but when you cook or order "ribs," it means pork. Duh. Also, as a vegetarian, I think you should have been more respectful of her dietary decisions.

If you're going to be dating someone maybe you should know whether of not she eats meat. Seriously.

you've been dating a girl and you don't know what she eats yet? that was your fault

if I got served ribs that sounded that delicious by a new girlfriend but I didn't eat beef, I'd still be very touched (i am biased however, because I really do love ribs) and at least there was still biscuits and broccoli....

almost the same thing happened to me, I made him a big fancy dinner, cost me a ton of money and he fell asleep and didn't eat any of it... im sorry, I know that sucks

for all u people saying he should have known his gf's food restrictions.. **** off.. he sed its his new girlfriend, and it was most likely a surprise so he wouldnt have asked her dude i feel for u man.. i guess now u kno, u can make some cheap ass chicken dish for her haha.. jk man but that blows

#65, you are wrong. when you cook or order ribs it can be pork OR beef. if you search beef ribs, you can see they are really popular in Texas. I live i California, but when i think of ribs, i usually think beef. you need to know about something before you try to comment on it.

Dumb ass. You should have asked if she had any dietary restrictions. Like what if she'd been deathly allergic to peanuts and you'd made Pad Thai?
