I would have probably gone back to the store and demand the last puzzle piece because my OCD wouldn't be able to handle it.

Go over the puzzle carefully and check if all the pieces fit properly. I have had to do that a few times because the last puzzle piece didn't fit and found out I mixed up almost identical pieces.

I was almost done with a puzzle one day a few months ago when my cat decided to knock over the entire puzzle and make the pieces scatter all over the floor. I'm still searching for pieces. I feel your pain. At least that puzzle was probably only messed up in the manufacturing. My puzzle pieces may be inside a black cat's lower intestine, or a litter box.

My cat did something similar. he took one piece away from a 2000 piece I was working on. it wasn't until a month later I found the missing piece behind his litter box.

I would go ******* insane. I would take a video of myself unable to finish the puzzle and show it to the store where the puzzle was bought. I would sue them if they did not give me the last piece and win.

Lol damn at that point I would've flipped a table. Sorry OP but maybe it was a defective puzzle. I wouldn't advice buying a new exact one to use that one piece tho

Just look at the picture the puzzle makes and see what part looks a bit off. Unless it's all sky and ocean or something. Then you're screwed
