OP realized that and subconsciously destroyed that sorry excuse for technology.
Yeah, he should have bought a MacBook Pro. At least now he has a chance to do this.
dude, we are from the same country and its really rare in FML so for that, its pretty FML ae? anyway, yeah some ppl are not nice. learn not to read the comments
That's what you get for having liquid near your computer. And I don't get why there's so many "YDI for having a mac!!1!one!11!" Mine has worked great for the last 2 years, no problems. I prefer it more than my sad-excuse-of-technology PC.
I've had my Dell laptop for 2 years now as well, no problems. Only paid $700. I like keeping the extra $1300 though. Sucks for you.
Macs use the same hardware fuckhead. You pay double for the name.
Rota, yes, they both use the same hardware, but the prices are still completely reasonable. With a PC, you pay for an operating system that pretty much just doesn't work and end up spending more money on repairs. With a Mac, you might be paying double, but you'll have hardly any problems. You're just unfamiliar with Macs and used to your PC; don't knock it until you've tried it.
money spent on pc repairs in my life time: £0 lol
I have used Windows all my life and I have never had to pay for a repair. The few problems I have had I was able to fix my self or with a free call to tech support. Also Apple charges for software updates, that is just not right. I would rather pay a bit more for Windows and get free updates then get ripped off by Apple every time a bug needed fixing. The only people who have lots of problems with PCs are the ones who know nothing about computers. Macs where designed to be idiot proof, but after reading the OP I guess they are only idiot resistant.
You never buy a Mac to save money. Anyone who tries to use that argument is an idiot. It simply doesn't work. You buy a Mac firstly for build quality (I know of no PC manufacturers that use aluminum casings or pay as much attention to detail as Apple does) and secondly for the OS experience. I used to stick by my PC, and I regarded OS X with it's pretty UI and eyecandy as a mere toy. Then Vista came out, and I was never able to see Windows as a sophisticated operating system again. I tried Linux, but decided it was no good in a home environment where I needed compatibility with school computers running Windows, so I bought a Mac. Running Tiger at the time, my Mac used much fewer resources than Vista did running on my brother's laptop. Even Snow Leopard is less of a resource hog than Windows 7. Macs truly offer a much better user experience than any other computer vendor can provide.
ydi for being a mac
looks like someone is telling you to get a PC. PC > Mac
Agreed. Apples main selling point on Macs is "ITS SO SHINY" and Apple fanboys and fangirls buy there over priced crap because they think it makes them look cool. I have had my dell notebook for almost three years now and it still runs fine. It was about $1200 when I got it with tax and shipping, so it wasn't some cheap piece of crap. I am sick of people saying PCs and Windows suck. For those of you who had a problem with Vista, did you experience the problem your self, or did you hear about it from a friend? About 85% of the people who had a "problem" with Widows Vista heard about it from a friend or read about it on the internet. Also most of the real problems people have with there PCs are their fault. If you don't update your drivers and keep your hard drive defragmented don't expect your PC to run fast. Also if you are using a pc that is 5-6 years old with a P4 cpu 256mb of ram and an integrated graphics card don't expect it to run like its brand new.
First off, I have plenty of Vista experience, I use it all the time on my brother's laptop, usually when he's had a problem with it. Where did that 85% come from? I also used a Mac long before it was "cool." So that's a moot point. What you need to keep in mind is, many computer users don't know about how to maintain their stuff, considering personal computers are relatively new (came to market about 30 years ago, really took off about 15 years ago with Windows 95). And then you get kids who try to download all their pr0n from LimeWire and end up pulling in a Trojan instead. And defragmenting... sure, power users know about that, but most end users would have no idea what that even means. By the way, I have a PowerMac G4 from 2002 sitting in front of me, 933 MHz, 1GB RAM (the only upgrade), and it runs damn close to how it did new. So yeah, I can expect a 5-6 year old computer to run like new. One last point: resale value. I recently sold an iMac G4 from 2003 with a 700MHz processor for $220. You could buy a brand new Windows-based computer for just a tad more than that. That iMac cost about $1300 new. If you bought a $1300 PC back in 2003, you'd be lucky to get $20 for it now. With a Mac, at least you'll see some return on your investment after several years.
