There is nothing worse in a department store than not being able to avoid the perfume section, because even if no one sprays anything, the scent lingers and sends me gasping for fresh air and/or my inhaler.Stong artificial scents, cigarette smoke, and mown grass are about the only things that set me off, but perfume aisles are always taken at a dead run and with held breath.
