Today, I started my job selling perfume in a department store. I decided to be creative and sprayed a little perfume towards the first person who walked by. She had an allergic reaction, and an ambulance had to be called. FML

I someone sprayed perfume in my face I'd be like wtf.

I would be seriously annoyed if someone sprayed me with perfume without asking me, allergy or not. Asshole move. You should ask people beforehand, OP, YDI

YDI. Enough people are allergic, it's actually quite common, it shouldn't be difficult to figure out that somebody might be allergic. Plus some people just don't like perfume and don't want it sprayed at them, I know I wouldn't want it sprayed at me as I hate most perfumes. I also have asthma and perfume being sprayed around me can trigger it, and I would not be happy if it was triggered because somebody was doing something like that. I've noticed it seems to be a fairly common complaint among people with asthma too. And some people just might be wearing a perfume already that they'd rather smell like, it's why they picked that one to use, why would they want you to spray perfume at them so they can smell like something else (or some combination of both scents)? It's just bad for many reasons, and it should be common sense to avoid spraying perfume at people, sadly common sense is the least common thing in the world.

What happened to spraying it on that piece of paper and handing it to people?

No man, you spray it on the paper and ask hold that out along with the perfume to ask them of they want to smell or try it. You can't just go around spritzing people man.

If I was shopping and somebody sprayed me. I'd be Pissed because 1. I'm already wearing perfume. 2. you can't always mix scents. 3. I'd rather not choke

YDI. Nobody likes that asshole who sprays perfume in their general direction while shopping. Fun fact: a lot of high end perfumes are made from whale vomit making them even LESS appealing to apply to your person.

What in the hell were you thinking?

That's the problem, she wasn't.

That is not even creative! It is really annoying. That happened to me once and my clothes smelled for years. In the end,I can't take the scent anymore and threw the clothes away.

You ******* idiot. I don't think I've ever seen a more deserved YDI FML. This is exactly why most companies enforce a "no perfumes/colognes" rule for their employees.
