I noticed no one answered you. tongue piercings basically don't hurt at ALL to get, but mine was pretty sensitive to certain foods for a few weeks (mostly hot/spicy...especially spicy). it also sucks trying to talk while your tongue's still swollen so you wanna talk as little as possible for a week or so. and you wanna use non-alcoholic mouthwash every single time you eat or drink [anything that's not water] for at least the first four weeks. and after it's healed, get a shorter bar put in (trust me, makes a world of a difference). if you ever read this, good luck!

Mine's doesn't hurt at all. Even when, and just after, I got it done. I was able to eat properly again the next day too.

The clamp hurt more than the actual piercing when I got mine done. My tongue was swollen for a few days but it's not one of the more painful piercings to get. Getting my nose pierced hurt worse than either of my tongue piercings.
