Today, I thought I was doing a nice thing when I spent hundreds of dollars to get my friend a plane ticket home. She yelled at me when I gave it to her. Turns out, she planned on spending a few more months freeloading off me. FML

Well now it's a "Get the hell out of my house already" present. Dual use achieved.

Kick her out. That's not a real friend.

I'm sorry that you're in this situation. But making travel arrangement for someone without their okay will probably not ever be well-received. If you're fed up with your "friend" mooching off you, assert yourself and address the issue directly, instead of telling yourself you're doing them a favor and then feeling hurt that they didn't appreciate it. Just tell her, "We need to discuss the end date for your visit."

Not a very good friend of her for mooching off you, and then when you do something so wonderful for her she gets upset. Good for you though for still doing something so wonderful!

Well you could have her pay rent now that you know her intentions

Here's your ticket to get the **** out :)

Well it sounds like her and them bags will be far outta my house

you need to explain to her what her options are now. 1. take the ticket and get out 2. dont take the ticket and get out

This is why kindness is a wasted trait.
