Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He responded with, "That's nice. You know what I love? Chicken wings. Let's go get some." Apparently, he doesn't remember I'm a vegetarian either. FML

You don't need meat, you like meat. I used to think I could never stop eating chicken or bacon, but I gradually stopped eating meat over about two years. After seeing what happens to these animals and discussing the ethics of it all, I realised that it's ridiculous for us to keep these animals in such poor conditions and then slaughter them simply for our own pleasure and comfort.

Where in this FML does it say that OP was trying to stop her bf from eating chicken? Don't presume every vegetarian lives up to the 'preachy activist' stereotype. Just as not all meat eaters live up to the heart-attack-in-waiting, fast-food-loving, white male stereotype.
