Today, I took a shower and right after I fell asleep on my bed wrapped in my towel. I awoke to find my dad slapping me in the face. He thought I had fainted because I'm a diabetic. FML

Today, I woke up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water. Groggy and disoriented, I bumped into several pieces of furniture and made a lot of noise. My dad woke up, mistook me for a burglar, and knocked me out with his fist. FML

Today, while relaxing in the kitchen drinking coffee, my dad suddenly rushed in, knocking me over and causing me to spill boiling hot coffee all over myself. Then, my dad thought it would be a good idea to grab the sprayer from the sink and douse me with cold water in order to "put me out." FML

Today, I fell in the shower and knocked myself out. When I came to I turned off the water and called my mom. She seemed more worried about the amount of water I "wasted" than she was about me. FML

Today, my Dad decided to take his medicine before eating. He passed out with his face in a plate of chocolate cake. He wasn't responsive so I called the paramedics. When he got to the hospital, the doctor asked him if he knew why he was there. He replied, "Because my stupid daughter overreacted." FML

Today, my dad set the smoke alarm off at 6 a.m. as a "practice drill." I was woken up so suddenly, I fell out of bed into the bucket of sick I had been throwing up into the night before due to flu. Dad yelled at me for not getting out of the house in time. FML

That's not FYL. I once woke up my boyfriend because I thought he was dead (he was really drunk that night and I woke up with him not breathing, turns out that's normal, sometimes you stop breathing in your sleep, it's called sleep apnea), and he got really pissed, but when I told him why, he just thought it was sweet. Thank your father for caring about you!

Why the hell would he slap you? Give a shake first. Besides, if you did pass out from low blood sugar a slap won't do anything. He'd need to get some carbs in you (and yes, diabetics count carbs, not sugar). Thank God I've never passed out from it but I have blacked out.

same stuff happened to me, although chocolate syrup was being down my throat. I woke up, couldn't breathe and hacked it all back out.

Im a type one diabetic- same thing has happened to me. I cant have my door locked anymore in case I faint of low blood sugar. Be gratetful they care though!
