Today, I took my cat to the vet for an x-ray. They found three dollar coins in his stomach. The surgery to remove them is $600. FML

What do you care more about, how much money this is costing you or your cat? I mean, $600 IS a lot for that kind of surgery but isn't it worth it since your cat is okay? That's what I think, anyways.

$600 is NOT a lot of money for "that kind of surgery." Source: I wrote estimates for foreign body removal surgeries as a veterinary technician.

Uhh I don't know where you live but where I'm from coins don't get much bigger than an inch.

107, actually, they really aren't. Dollar coins are barely over an inch. It probably wasn't very hard for a cat to swallow it.

Canada, ass wipe and we have 1 and 2 dollar coins....ya they rock and they are huge!!!!!!

Never seen an American 1 dollar coin. I thought only Canada had them.

Someone gave me a 1$ coin from the states once. They told me they don't actually use them much, they still just use their dollar bills, so I'm not really sure why have them at all... But they are a bit smaller than a loonie, I think, so maybe a cat could swallow one? Or maybe OP's cat is like Garfield :P
