My father is in too much pain to dig 3 feet deep to make sure the other neighborhood animals don't dig it up and have to see a half eaten half rotten dog in the yard. Needless to say they took the dog out to my uncle's farm and used a back hoe to do the deed. To all the people saying "It's just a dog," 1) Humans are animals. Get used to it. It's called "SCIENCE." 2) Dogs are part of the family as numerous posters have said. They deserve the same amount of respect as other family members. If the parents had a stillborn baby and just tossed it in the trash, all the people who would have said "It's just a dog" would be in an uproar. And done.
