Some people just have no respect, and some people are using words in a different context. some people do not find certain words as derogatory as others do, chances are they were giving your new born a compliment, proberly seeing it was a 6lbs baby thought it might give a little confidence boost to call it fat, chubby, or podgy or whatever. Of course only you know what tone of voice they used it in, and if it was in a derogatory way, you should have confronted them, people don't learn their lesson unless they are put in their place. old, young, or middle aged, you shouldn't offer anyone respect who disrespects you, your family or offends in a purposefull way. In other words, if you see them again, stab them.

isnt that little below what the average baby weighs? all i remember is normally babies are roughly 3kg which is 6.6 pounds according to google. i was 3.2kg or 7 pounds if you like
