Today, I wanted to take my girlfriend to a nice dinner before prom. Her parents followed her in, and joined us to "keep an eye on me." They interrupted all our conversations, ate an expensive meal, then got up and walked out when the waitress brought the $95 check, leaving me to pay for it. FML

it's ok you get them back while you **** their daughter

Only pay for your two meals and tell the restaurant the name and address of the two parents..

Considering that the parents shelled out a fortune for an overpriced prom dress for their daughter, they probably felt they were entitled to a free meal to take a little sting out of the blow.

are you freaking kidding me? that was one of the most sexist things ive ever heard. prom is expensive for EVERYONE. RENTING a tux is every bit as expensive as BUYING a prom dress in many instances, and the guy often times pays for the limo and the tickets too!

I would have made it extremely clear in the beginning that I was taking their daughter out,not them. if they couldn't handle that then clearly their daughter was not the right one for you. Also, I would send them the bill for their food. The least they could do is pay you back.

$90 is a lot now im dont have a job yet and im too young to move out but my parents wont even order food if the bills over $30, hell even $20

It isnt a lot for me NOW, but just remembering back in school when I was making 5.15 hourly, gettin' like 4 hours a day. Yea, 90$ woulda HURT so bad... FHL, seriously.

Yes, then pay child support later! Excellent work, sir!

you dont have to pay it especially if you both were underage.. and if the dad isnt making money.

So now it all depends on your approach. If the girl is just for now like girls at this age usually are - just live with it, enjoy the girl and avoid her parents in future. If however you see it as some more serious relationship, remember that you are also (sort of) entering the family. And now you know what is the family like...

where did u take them? olive garden? sounds like ur idea of somewhere nice is skewed, only $95 for four ppl isn't much...

whatever her parents should not of expected him to pay for them anyway thats pretty rude at least were im from anyway. But then again he shouldnt of acted like a little pussy if he didnt want them there then he should of told his bitch not to bring them ;) or at least say thats its a special occasion meant for only him and her. Done.
