It's funny how every TA has such a sense of self importance even when they're not a real teacher. The ones at my high school were all 22 - 24 year old college students and were extremely condescending and rude to the students they were supposed to be helping. I can see OP is no exception.

I'm gonna be honest: she did the right thing really because examiners wouldn't care what the note said. The boy shouldn't have really had it out during the exam as it could obviously have been mistaken for cheating.
