Today, I was a TA for a history class and the class was taking a test. About halfway through, I noticed one kid had a small piece of paper in his hand. I ran up the row, grabbed his test, and ripped it into four pieces. Then I took the note from him. It said "I believe in you, -Mom." FML

I don't exactly understand why he's a jerk for trying to stop someone from cheating? Yes he could have let it go but what if the kid WAS cheating? I get that he could have possibly looked at the note first but at least he tried to do the right thing

Sure his intentions were good but he shouldn't have assumed it right off the bat. As suspicious as it may seem, he should have at least looked at the note first.
