Today, I was alone with a work acquaintance at lunch. A noise came from his pocket; he whipped out his iPod Touch and said "Sorry, I have to take this," before walking away with the iPod to his ear. Not only did he not want to talk to me, he thought I was stupid enough to confuse an iPod with a phone. FML

Today, my "friend" came over. I caught him trying to steal my iPod on the way out. Proud of myself for catching him, I asked him to leave, only to realize that I had forgotten to actually take the iPod back from him before he left. FML

Today, my crush was walking up to me and I put my earphones in, playing hard to get. When I heard him say something about a date I take an earphone out and say, "Oh, I didn't see you there!" His response, "They're not connected to anything," holds up the end of my earphones and walks away. FML

Today, I told a customer at the drive-thru I couldn't hear him as he had his music blaring too loud. The customer then drove to the window and verbally abused me for listening to my iPod at work. My "iPod" is the headset we use to take orders at the drive-thru. FML

Today, I met a hot guy at a club and we really hit it off. We went back to his place and we got down to business. After, I noticed he had an iPod Touch on his nightstand. I complimented him on it and he responded with, "Yeah, my girlfriend gave it to me as an anniversary present." FML

Today, I was going to the bathroom at work. Since I knew it would take a while, I brought my iPod in for entertainment. To bad it disabled me from hearing the continuous knocks on the door as well as the manager eventually picking the lock and busting in. FML

Today, I was sitting on the train when some crazy man started talking to me. I ignored him, and he tapped on my shoulder. He started blabbing and I just pointed to my ears and mouthed, "I'm deaf." He stopped talking. A minute later my phone rang and I answered it without thinking. FML

Would everyone who's been brainwashed by apple's marketing please slap themselves and quit calling it an itouch, its an ipod touch. The Ipod nano isn't an inano, the ipod classic isn't called an iclassic, and the ipod shuffle isn't an ishuffle, so why should the ipod touch suddenly become an itouch?

I love how everyone is criticizing the OP for not being able to tell the difference between an iPhone and an iPod Touch, when honestly, if this person even knew that an iPhone existed, he probably would have assumed that his acquaintance was using one. Given that he didn't make this assumption, he probably isn't completely stupid, but rather is unfortunately tuned-out to the world of new technology. Maybe iPhones aren't popular in Australia?

erm... actually, they are. I know lots of people with iPhones, including my husband. In fact, I know a guy with 2 iPhones. (Stupid, I know. He originally had one for work and now he's bought one as his 'personal' mobile.)
