Today, I was alone with a work acquaintance at lunch. A noise came from his pocket; he whipped out his iPod Touch and said "Sorry, I have to take this," before walking away with the iPod to his ear. Not only did he not want to talk to me, he thought I was stupid enough to confuse an iPod with a phone. FML

Also, the iPod Touch, when connected to a Wi-Fi signal, can act like a phone with programs like Skype.

Could of had the Skype app on an iPod Touch.

How do you know it wasnt an iphone??

The person who posted this is an expert troll.

Um... NO. "Acquaintence" is used when you know somebody who's not so close that you call them a "friend", but is close enough that you see them a lot and are casual around them. nothing wrong with using that word..

I've seen the iPhone. I have an iPod Touch. The iPhone is an iPod touch with a speaker and a hearing slot-thingy

What lots of people here don't realize... an iPod doesn't automatically mean an iPod Touch, could've also been an older one. In that case, FYL. If it was just an iPhone, YDI for being so paranoid.

Ipod touches look completely different than iphones for many reasons: 1) they dont have the speaker that you put up to your ear. I think thats easy to see from a small distance 2) the iphone has a camera. You can see it if he put it to his ear 3) the ipod touch is way thinner than the iphone 4) if you want to talk into he ipod touch you have to have headphones with a microphone built in obviously the OP knows the difference if they said it was an ipod touch, not an iphone. SO STOP CRITICIZING HIM!

1) They're not that easy to spot. 2) The camera is small. Perhaps he turned 45-90 degrees away from her and put the device to the side of his head farthest from him. 3) It's 3.8 mm. 4) Like he couldn't fake talking.

umm are you sure it wasnt an iPhone? ps apple Rawks!! 

Your aqquaintance was most likely faking it, but you never know. With Skype and other VoIP programs, his iPod touch, if you were right and it really was an iPod Touch, could have been used as an phone. The only way to know if he was using it as an iPhone is if it had a microphone headset attatched to it.
