As a swimmer i will say i have never seen a coed relay at a real meet...but maybe your school is different...
as a club swimmer of 7 years, and 4 year high school varsity swimmer, i have not seen a co-ed relay that actually counted. unless it was some kind of mess around duing practice thing...i dunno but i know my coach would kill me if i freaked out because of my tampon string, and you made it alot worse freaking out, i bet no one would have noticed. but once you did that i bet you had ALOT of explaining to do.
since when did guys swim on the same relays as girls?
I'm going to call BS on this. What swim meet would have a girl on the same relay as a guy? There are no coed relays in meets........It doesn't matter how fast anyone is, it just isn't mixed up.
Co-ed swim relays? wtf? But anyhoo, I love the amount of hardcore swimmers on this thread. Swimming ftw.
alrighttt i have been swimming for 11 years and yes there is co ed relays at some meets, ive been in a couple. but i think you shouldnt have freaked out completely, you could have just ignored it and fixed it after the race.
yes i used to swim for about 6 years too and there is girl and boy relay 2 each i think, i even went to some big tournaments and they still had them but most of these were in highschool and sry about the tampoon thing

#1 I'm glad your life goal is now complete. OP: You deserve it. Sorry, but if you're going to put yourself in any kind of high pressure situation with others counting on you like that, you gotta get over little things like tampon strings.
LOL. #1 your a jerk. anyway, that sucks, but if your a girl, how did you fall on top of a guy? girls and guys dont swim relays together. anyway its not like you could do anything about it right before you dove off, so it woulda just been easier to swim the whole thing and tuck it back in when you finished and were still in the water. its not that big of a deal i mean everyone knows girls have to wear tampons when they swim.
