Drink some ******* water next time.
too bad thats not possible. i, also a lifeguard, know its against the law to be on a pool for more then 30 minutes. thus, meaning you couldnt be guarding a pool for a "few hours."
Uhm, yeah it's possible. I'm a lifeguard too and it's definitely not against the law to be guarding a pool for more than thirty minute at a time (at least not in my state) and I have worked seven and a half hour days just rotating around a big pool a lot during the summer. Our rotations are forty minutes each. Plus, this person said 'shift', meaning the entire time they're working. I'm pretty sure that no one's entire shift is thirty minutes long.
*thirty minutes
Why didn't u jump in the water for a few seconds?
The weather needs to let up.its seriously to hot to go outside for me
Are you honestly that lazy and out of shape of a person that you pass out from heat while sitting down. I work 7 12s in direct sunlight with a heat index of over 100 degrees and ungodly humidity and you can't even sit in a chair
I don't do well in the heat either, and have passed out before. So my advice: do not sit in the sun for a long time especially without moving much (that's how I passed out), drink A LOT of water periodically, cool off once in a while by going in the water. and if you ever start feeling dizzy don't get up, sit down and move your feet a little to get the blood circulating.

How ironic. A lifeguard needed to be saved from the water.
Here in its natural habitat, the lifeguard would rather pass out from dehydration, than to drink from the watering hole like everyone else. Fascinating!
