mothers always know best, should've listened to her suggestion op
Mom should have made it more than a suggestion and made it a demand. Mom did not know best she failed her child.
Well, we don't know how old the baby is, so we can't judge on that. My daughter was able to stand herself up at 5 months old, but she still took some pretty good tumbles. That being said, you really should've listened to the mother, and let her hold the baby up. You can't judge the baby's ability based on his age alone. I'm gonna rate this one both ways. FYL for having something like this happen, and YDI for making assumptions on a baby's ability when it isn't your child.
Enough about your job, you should have been more invested in the saftey of the baby
Ur such a f****in idiot
If you don't lose your job OP, I bet you'll be more careful from now on. I worked at a photography studio for several years and when I did that pose, I'd have the mom hold the baby until the last second, then pull her hands only about a foot away so she could still catch her baby if they started to lose their balance. And if the baby wasn't able to stand on their own for even a few seconds, I'd forget the pose. Safety is way more important than a cute picture.
Let's be rational. If OP said yes, it would have taken more than two seconds for the baby's mother to walk over and therefore, baby would be on the ground.
How the **** is that rational? She grabbed the bench, then asked the mum, not grabbed bench, grabbed baby, posed baby THEN asked mum. Everything about your comment...just dumb...
OP grabbed the bench to put it in the scene. That doesn't mean they were all within 2 feet of each other. Your overreaction by needlessly using "****" is dumb.
Never underestimate what a baby can and will do!

You obviously don't know anything about kids, and gravity.
Well if he was a fairly new baby you shouldnt have expected him to be able to hold his own weight up
