Today, I was awoken at 1:30 a.m. by a strange noise, and something tugging on my hair. I opened my eyes, to find a very large rat sitting on my pillow, chewing my hair. FML

Come to Alberta! There are literally NO rats here. It's illegal.

That is when you say time for a new wig and pillow and maybe even a pet cat. But still that is funny.

Wow! When you wake up you need to clean your place up sugar!

It's probably pregnant and wants your hair to make a nest for its babies.

As a pet rat owner of several generations, this is very (creepy) true.

The neighbors would of heard me screamingThe rat  "I'm sure" was just as freaked out about being caught

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, who ever says thats cute.. there is sumthing wrong with u!! thats disgusting rats are not cute and cuddly and they have diseases, and live in sewers. how is that cute? LOL gross

Domestic rats are actually very hygienic animals, and VERY cute! Hopefully this rat was the OP's pet...if not, then that would be quite worrying.

My pet rat Sunny (RIP) would get excited when I'd tickle him, and "popcorn" around the room happily. (Look up videos of pet rats popcorning, it's totally adorable). He also loved to cuddle with me and would groom my fingers. His brother that I still have, Remy, has always been shy but is warming up to me now and is extremely sweet. :) While I completely understand not wanting wild rats in your house (I don't either), pet rats are COMPLETELY different, cleaner than cats, and as intelligent as dogs. They're amazing pets. The only drawback is their short lifespan (2-3 years). :(

All rats, wild and pet, are actually cleaner than humans. Wild rats only have the stereotype of being dirty and disease ridden because they eat our leftovers and because they carried the FLEAS that carried the plague.

Hey! don't call your boyfriend rat, it's mesn

okayy first..why is there a rat in ur room.? n why is he able to get in ur bed.? second..thts disgusting.!!!!

Rats are more surprising than you think. They are very good climbers. I dated a girl in college who had some pet rats, she complained that one of them would get out of the cage at night (by opening it himself, she gave up after trying about 5 different kinds of locks) and get into her bed and nibble her toes. It's weird, but easily possible.
