Today, I was babysitting my 4-month-old niece at the park, when a woman came up to me and said, "Don't worry, dear. You'll get your figure back soon." FML

That's the kind of situation where you're torn between feeling grateful because the sentiment is nice or insulted because you (indirectly) just got called fat.

Aww, that would be rude even if you were the mom. :( sorry op.

Don't worry OP, that woman is being really mean, and is assuming things.

Does not make it okay. People think that just because you have a baby everything about that/that process is everyone's business.

I don't think there was anything friendly or hopeful about her comment. The only thing that made sense about your comment was that this lady didn't know the situation, in which case she should have kept her mouth shut!

Even if you had had a child, who on this earth has the audacity to walk up to someone and say that?? don't worry about it, OP, she's obviously a b***h.

Damn, if I were you OP, I'll hurry up and do some exercise.

you should of retorted something along the lines of "oh thanks. a shame you didn't get yours back."

Smile and say thanks...she didn't mean it/know don't take it personally

Should've said, "wow, thanks! But when are you gonna get your manners back?"
