#112 your a motherfucking piece of shit dumbass. probably more than anyone ive ever seen...... saying that is just trying to make her feel good you piece of shit. UGA is a piece of shit im suprised then even deny people entrance. my uncle went there and he had a 2.5 gpa and got a 1050 on his SAT. so **** off and dont tell people bull shit lies. Harvard is a great ******* school. It shouldnt even get compared to UGA. **** how did you not get in? really?
Georgia Tech > UGA #111, "you learn the same stuff at every school"? Nothing could be further from the truth. Sure, many of the UGA applicants have a 3.8 or a 3.9 but most of them come from Georgia high schools. The state of Georgia alternates between 49th and 50th for education in the US. There are PLENTY of kids that come to Georgia Tech from Georgia high schools with a 4.0 and fail out before the end of their freshman year. Also, being difficult to get into and being a good school aren't necessarily the same thing. Lastly, it does suck that you didn't get into UGA, but it's not the end of the world. If you get into State or Georgia Southern and get good grades, you may well be able to transfer to UGA. Good luck.
#34 - GCSU isn't in Atlanta. It's in Milledgeville. =) #100 - Tech grads probably make more money because they pursue higher-paying careers, and because it's one of the best technical schools in the country. Pansy English majors like me obviously aren't going to apply for engineering jobs. UGA's programs in business, journalism, ecology, and vet medicine are some of the best in the nation (as is our pansy English graduate program). But, honestly, the school where you're getting your degree isn't going to make or break your future. At UGA, we have Truman and Rhodes scholars who work their asses off, but we also have dumbasses who slide by with C averages and would rather go to football games than to class. The school's name won't mean as much as what you do with the opportunities you have.
There's always Auburn or GA Tech. I've known more than a few people who failed out of GA Tech though so it's kind of a risk. Both aren't difficult to get into.
Ouch. Total bummer.
You can go to another college for a year, or even a semester and easily transfer to UGA. Don't go to Tech - the two schools aren't interchangeable by any means, and if you had your heart set on UGA, you will not like Tech. Not to mention that if you didn't have the grades to get into UGA, Tech will be an absolute nightmare for you. Just saying.
And to the person who said that "Techies" are posting here because they have no lives and no real friends or activities, you are an idiot. If you spent more than 2 minutes on the Tech campus you would realize how horribly misguided and misinformed you are.
Wow, anyone who lives in Georgia would know that UGA's system for acceptance is a lil wack. They want to keep their average GPA at around a 3.0. No higher, no lower because they want a lot of people and it's not exactly a super serious school. (Don't get me wrong, it's still a great school) But being accepted is close to being random. It may not be that they're stupid at all. Plus, EVERYONE applies to UGA. FYL.

There are other colleges and chances. Did you at least get to enjoy the party anyway? In your situation, I'd make the best of it.
It's alright, you'll get in somewhere! I'm at my fall-back school and I'm loving every minute of it! So hang in there..
