Nice to see "shit you not" has survived

Parents are kind of ....special. Especially when they have never been in your certain situation.

Such a bitch. I have diabetes too, I actually do, and that sucks. FYL

Hey man you'll be ok. I have it too, and later on in life you'll look back at it and laugh.

#62, How is that funny when so many bad things have resulted in being any type of diabetic??? I do hope that you're ok too.

Look, after having it for 17 years, I agree with that person. You either laugh because youre on the right path or you cry because you can't get the blood sugars to stabilize. However, if you always have a bad outlook on this, admittedly, unfair disease, then nothing is ever going to go right for you

Sounds like your mom is in denial or either she really thinks that walking alone is going to cure type 1 diabetes...either way, get a handle on that shit before it gets worse. Start with a massive change in diet, don't miss a drop of insulin, develop an exercise program if you don't have one in place already, and find a good support group to keep you encouraged. You can do it!

That could be the right response, do us need to lose a few?

Wow I'm sorry OP, apparently I'm going to beat your Mum to it by wishing you luck. I've been a Type 1 Diabetic for nearly nine years now and it takes some getting used to but after a while it all becomes second nature. You'll get the hang of it! All the best!

Not bad advice Lose weight and hopefully diabetes will follow

Not that kind of diabetes. This is type 1, you're talking about type 2, I suggest you look up the differences.
