Today, I got a letter back from the family I will be staying with as a part of an exchange program. Apparently they own a slaughterhouse type farm, and I'm expected to kill one of their animals and eat it as a gift from the family. I'm a vegan. FML

if a vegetarian is like that cuz they don't want living things to be killed then they are stupid cuz almost everything we eat cone from a living thing including vegetables because vegetables are considered living things also.

I'm here to stir the pot: !! I am a vegetarian and I believe that if you're planning on killing and eating an animal then it doesn't matter how you treat them !! (Hormones and whatnot not included in my reasoning) Anyone want to jump on my band wagon? Perhaps start a good debate? :P

i don't agree, I believe animals should be well treated before they are killed but thats just me. And before anyone thinks of calling me a pussy for my way of thinking I can tell you now I would rather raise and kill my own animals if I it meant that the meat I was eating had had a happy life. Is it too much to ask to respect them for providing us with tasty meat.

YDI for being vegetarian. (Just kidding, although I personally strongly oppose this philosophy, to each his own I suppose). However, YDI for not knowing that, dumbshit. Jell-O in the USA isn't made from that stuff anymore, and I doubt Canadian Jell-O is either. So you're a double dumbshit.
