Today, I was expecting my period. To avoid the embarrassment of everyone in the office finding out, instead of putting tampons in my bag, I hid one in my bra. It fell out while I was coming back from lunch. I am now known to all as "The Tampon Dispenser". FML

I assume if you work in an office everyone there would have been able to handle seeing a tampon in your bag. Even if they are, for some reason, immature enough to give you a dumb nickname like that they could have been desensitized from seeing tampons in purses from high school and have not said anything. In reality if someone pointed out "Oh hey guys, she has a tampon in her bag!" they would have looked like a moron.

How is having your period embarrassing? Its a fact of life. Assuming you are an adult since you put you work in an office, I would hope that you would have grown out of being embarrassed by that. Im pretty sure everyone knows what a tampon is and what its for and that being an adult woman you do get your period unless your a mutant. And why couldnt you put a tampon in your bag?

Might work in a retail/secure environment where they require associates to use see through bags for Loss prevention. That said, seriously who *wouldnt* expect the possibility of a woman having tampon, etc in there? At least it's not like a giant tube of ointment or something :|

You know...I bet if you didn't really think about this and just, you know, had your period with your tampons in your purse...you might have gotten through it with nobody the wiser... I'm not sure why everybody is asking what's so embarrassing about getting a period. That's not really the issue, eh? The question is does she go around shoving her open purse in everybody's face thereby causing a fear of someone catching a tampon to the nose. Then and only then would the bra be a more logical storage unit.

If people ask, then just tell them the truth, it'll be worse for them. Or lie and say something about make up or laddered tights or something... Besides, who asks a girl why she's taking her bag to the toilet? Most people know damn well why and won't think twice about it.
