most busy intersections now adays have weights put in you probably were too far up, or too far behind my brother had to bitch out a lady for the same thing the light wont change until it senses the weight and knows that there is a car waiting

I think you all are focusing on the people honking part, when I think the focus of this FML was the fact that the light took forever, so he went, and got a ticket. Personally I do this all the time - if the light is taking way too long, I just go (provided it's clear - I'm not stupid). I think our traffic laws are too restrictive for people that are actually perceptive and drive well, so I will break them occasionally if I'm certain it's safe. This would be one of those instances. Also, I'm pretty sure you can beat this one - I had a friend who got a camera ticket at a light that wasn't changing, and he had it thrown out.
