Today, I was in the shower 'grooming' myself for my second anniversary with my boyfriend. Halfway through the hot water ran out. I now have the choice of going with the low 'half-fro' or risking hypothermia. My boyfriend thinks hypothermia would be the better option. FML

Okay, you are not going to get hypothermia from a cold shower. One week when my shower was being repaired my landlord had me using the attached townhouse next to me (which they also owned and was empty) to shower. There was no hot water, period. It was the middle of the winter, in Buffalo NY, and I had the flu. Also, since there was no electricity, I had to walk with wet hair next door back to my place. And I did not get hypothermia. So suck it up princess.

you won't get hyperthermia from having a cold shower plus if you rinse your hair with cold water after washing it your hair becomes soft and shiny.

You are right... you cannot get hyperthermia from a cold shower. You CAN get a FEVER that WILL BE fatal when your body core temp hits 108 degrees F.

do you really need to be in the shower to do this? and you can't get hypothermia from a cold shower. idiot. i've taken showers in freezing cold water and although it's not fun, nothing happens or you could just wait for the shower to heat back up and you should "groom" more often then YDI for being stupid and for all those who say it is "nasty" for her boyfriend to want it shaved: 1) some people genetically don't get body hair (rare, but it happens) 2) you could say "that's nasty that he wants it to look like a 99 year olds" if it were unshaved

FarSide, I sincerely hope you're just trolling because your comments are damn retarded >.> Having a cold shower for the 3-5 minutes that it would take to finish the job that she has already started is not going to cause her harm, not considering she lives in Australia and its not actually cold here yet. ESPECIALLY considering she's in NSW and not like Tasmania or something, and over the past few days it's actually been pretty warm.

Actually, taking cold showers can be good for you health. It trains your immune system, and if you get out, you don't start freezing immediately. I always shower cold-hot-cold. Gets the circulation running. And to all people complaining about her bf's request: Sorry to spoil the fun, but the 80s are over. Some people just aren't into pubes sticking out between their teeth afterwards. =|

It's also not impossible to shave without water. I've done it before. It's a little more painful, but it's better than 'getting hypothermia'. You're a pathetic ******* drama queen, OP.
