Today, I was in the supermarket when I saw a little boy trying to reach for something on the top shelf. I went over to him and asked if his mom knew where he was. The boy turned around. He was actually a very angry midget. FML

I don't see how you could make this mistake. People who suffer from dwarfism tend to have a very characteristic body shape that looks nothing like a child...

Today, I was in the supermarket buying groceries, and proceed to reach for a can of soup on the top shelf, when this man walks up to me with concern in his eyes and asks me where my mom is, I'm 39, FML.

And now to clear of the difference between a midget (granted not appropriate term) and someone with dwarfism once and far all: midget [mij-it] –noun 1. (not in technical use) an extremely small person having NORMAL PHYSICAL PROPORTIONS. dwarf –noun 1. a person of abnormally small stature owing to a pathological condition, esp. one suffering from cretinism or some other disease that produces disproportion or deformation of features and limbs.

Ah bitch! Good one...haha you meanie butt face!

#45 did you never get lost in a big store as a kid? it's terrifying. Well depending on the age, but I remember getting lost once and being on the verge of tears because I didn't know where anyone/anything was or how I was going to find my family again... and I was only lost a minute. I mean granted I may have been a total wimp of a child but it's still legitimately scary being lost, so it's hardly rude to ask where the parents were. Besides there's also the possibility that the kid ran off from the parents and was grabbing stuff he wasn't supposed to/would get hurt by trying to reach and considering he was aiming for something on the top shelf it's not necessarily a bad assumption. And don't tell me this doesn't happen, I've seen it, children aren't always the smartest cookies in the jar, and yes it does potentially lead to them damaging themselves or the store.

It's really not that difficult to tell a dwarf from a child. Look more closely next time.
