Today, I was meeting my boyfriend's family for the first time. The minute I stepped in the door his mother hit me in the face and kicked me out because I was "the slut her husband cheated on her with." My older sister and I look much alike. Too much alike. FML

Today, I met my boyfriend's adoptive family. There was his mom and several brothers, one of whom tried to hit on me. They tried to convince my boyfriend to break up with me, and his mom told me I'll probably get knocked up by the brother who hit on me. FML

Were you aware of that situation prior to this? If your boyfriend means a lot to you, have a sit down with his mother once she's calmed down, and hopefully you can get things resolved. Good luck!

How amazing that you were not able to foresee that such a meeting might be slightly uncomfortable at its best. Your slutty sister runs off with this woman's husband and you're expecting a warm welcome? I also can't understand her son wanting to get involved with you given your sisters behavior. Frankly it all sounds like some episode of a trailer trash TV show. You're lucky to have walked outa there with all your teeth. But you can't manage to put yourself in her place for a moment?

I don't understand why a woman who has been cheated on calls the other girl "a ****". The asshole in the story is the husband who strays. It is not always the case but it happens really often that the "mistress" is not even aware that the guy is married.
