Today, I was on a dinner date with a guy I really like. I guess I was on my phone too much because halfway through the date he sent me a text saying how much my half of the bill would be. FML

Today, I went on a date that went well, until the bill came and she quickly shoved it in my direction, then went to the loo. Rude, but I thought nothing of it… until our waiter took pity and told me I’m the fourth guy she’s had this week who'd been made to pay for her. I paid half, then went home. FML

If ever there was a YDI it is your story. If you like him so much put the f****** phone down and talk to him. After all he was nice enough to offer to treat you to dinner. If it would have been me, I would have "gone to the bathroom" and left you with the whole check. And then sent you a txt to never call me again.

Unless you had a good reason to use your phone for most of the date then I don't think you should have spent your time making him feel so ignored that the ONLY way to get your attention was to text you. Honestly, if you "really liked" him you would have taken an interest and paid attention, talked and interact. I don't care if your date was boring from the start, you could have liven up a little. Just remember, he's on a date with you, not your phone -_-
