That was a terrible thing to do on a date. Next time put your phone in your handbag or just turn it off. You're meant to pay attention to the person you're spending time with, you rude...person. I'd rather use harsher language but I'm sure someone'd just fart on me. Anywho, LESS PHONE, MORE DATE NEXT TIME. IF THERE EVER IS A NEXT TIME FOR THE LIKES OF YOU.
This is the modern world and we need to be classy OP. It was rude of you to be on your phone during a date and it tells him obviously you don't really care about him. It's not rude of him to expect you to go Dutch. Sorry, but YDI.
if you really liked him why were you on your phone?
I guess you need to learn some manners.
YDI, why would you be on your phone during a date? I miss the days when no one had cell phone, we lived more peacefully an guess what, people still got in touch with you quickly if there was an emergency.
Take a chill pill. Don't be so angry only because you don't understand his opinion.
I miss the days when people didn't stick their face in phones. Then again, I'm in my 20s so I don't have a lot of time to be like, "Yeah, in my day." Still, cell phones are useful. I can check my bank account, access Facebook, Skype with my sick grandmother, do work, and keep track of my school. I however, also know when to put the phone away. I kind of understand where people are coming from, wishing that phones were not so important to culture and people could actually speak to others without electronics in their face. I broke down on the side of the road. Some guy pulled over to help me. He ended up trying to take advantage of me. I didn't have a cell phone, I was 16, and I was scared out of my mind. So I am eternally grateful for cell phones.

That's incredibly rude of you. You "guess"?! I'd would say that you were. Be a little more polite next time and stash your phone away; the newest twitter updates can wait.
You really like him, huh? You really showed it. YDI
