My dad told me when I was 5, I walked in on my mom blowing him and ran out like "EW KISSING PENIS!" Later he sat me down to explain that it's something that mommies and daddies do and so I asked, "Does it taste good?" and he said "Go ask your mom." I remember nothing. When babysitting I had two ten year old girls ask me what a ******* was because they weren't sure. I then found out they thought that guys got a period, too. XD; Honestly, I think it's better that they know the truth than imagine some total BS and get themselves in trouble.

I'm 11 next month and there are tons of 5th graders who have a lot more knowledge in these things than you guys do, I was trying to be cool or whatever by getting a facebook and then I heard the stuff they were talking about.....now my brain's filled with bad thoughts! I laugh when my teacher says pencil!! :O

That must have been embarrassing in public. However, people really must stop trying to shelter kids from sex. I think parents should talk to their children candidly about sex. Six is very young, but if she's already hearing about sex elsewhere, don't you want to be the loudest voice making sense of it for her? Parents too often do the exact opposite of their intentions, leaving children in the dark about sex and leading them to make poorly informed decisions.
