Today, I was putting my 2 year old to bed, and I began to sing to her. She reached up, put her finger over my lips, and said, "Shhh, Mommy." FML

My friend's 1 year old took the dummy out of his mouth and put it in hers when she tried singing to him. Kids are so brutally honest. I love it. Maybe your daughter was just too tired to listen. Unless you're a professional singer, YL is not F'ed. YDI for harrassing your daughter? Meh.

my mom told me everytime I started to cry as a baby she'd start to sing to me and I'd stop crying... I told her I'd stop crying so she'd stop singing...

aha!!! that's funny!! nice one!! :)

Kids pawned BEFORE that word was even invented.

Ugh... it's PWN'd, not "pawned". Seriously, l2spell, bud.

if your 2 year old tells u to shhh. then you might not want to sing... ever.

It doesn't have to be because she didn't like your singing. Maybe she was just tired and wanted to sleep.

have you ever met a two year old that actually WANTED to sleep?

Yes, my daughter would regularly tell us when she was tired and needed to sleep. She spoiled us for the next kid.

must be one of the few exceptions then, because in my experience, that's quite rare

singing is awkward.. always.. just dont do it
