Today, I was reading a book on paper for the first time in maybe a month. I had to stop at a word I did not recognise. Because I'm so used to using a Kindle, I tried to get the definition by pressing it. I had my finger on the word for a few seconds before I realised it was paper. FML

I have tried zooming in by double clicking/ expanding the text, hovering my finger over a word waiting for the definition to pop up, opening a search box for getting a particular word, scrolling up and down and much more. It's natural if you are used to a certain way of reading books.

damn straight.......put down the technology for the time being and go read an 'ACTUAL' book.

What has society come to?

I can relate. Sometimes, while writing on paper, I try to 'delete' or 'backspace' when I make a mistake...

I have a kindle and didn't even know I could do this! Thanks op!

Wait, you need to use technology to define words for you often enough it's become a habit? I can't remember the last time I had to look a word up outside of a textbook.

Bilze, I love your comment! The best note I've read in FML !
