oh god, same. I can't deal with poorly written sex, the secondhand embarrassment is too distracting.
You know what "kills" my mood? People who use quotes for any word that is not strictly "literal", or in this case, common usage but just a bit "saucy". Or even to "emphasize" a particular word. That's annoying like "hell". It's the written equivalent of a "funny" uncle winking at you and poking you in the ribs while telling a "knock knock" joke.
I used to work for Harlequin romances during college summer break. During lunch break we used to count the spelling and grammar errors on one page. It was typically between 3-8. Those books are basically **** for illiterate women.
