Today, I was really stressed, so I tried to let it out by crying. It lasted about 30 seconds, and I was making fun of myself the whole time. Even my subconscious thinks I'm pathetic. FML

Laughter and crying are both ways to heal, your probably trying to take the depressing route when actually your body wants to laugh it off.

Because he's male and males are typically taught not to let a "feminine" emotion out. Sometimes it just happens, which is probably OP's case, but he still felt like an idiot because it spilled out.

Don't feel bad about crying. It used to be a sign of strength as it showed the man had actually cared. Then new age crap spread, and anyway, it be a good idea to pick-up a relaxing hobby. As others have said, working out is a good one. I also recommend video-gaming. So many ways one can vent with those. >=3 Really, just try different things and find what works best for you. Hope your day got better! =)

Man, I wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself! It reminds me of something a dear, kind professor of mine (who was also a psychologist) told me once:"We all have that little voice inside that represents an internal dialogue that we all have with ourselves. Sometimes I wish I could have a talk with that voice in some people because you can tell that their voice is really mean." I wish I could do the same with yours, man! It sounds like you have really been ridiculed in your life, and if you want advice, I would say try to go easier on yourself and make that voice nicer! You can change it-I know, I am speaking from experience!
