What do you do with a birthday cake, throw it across the room?
For some reason i dont believe this FML only because the exact same thing happened on the movie The New Guy, but if its real either way YDI
I voted YDI. The reason is because when a marshmallow catches on fire, you blow it out. The middle of the marshmallow is gooey, so shaking it will release it and things like what happened to you will happen. Now, I am not saying you should have been hurt, I am just saying you should have been more logical and could have avoided this injury. I have made many roasted marshmallows over the years and this has never happened to me. I am very sorry about your injury and hope you remember this for future reference.
This is why I make smores in the microwave.
The best thing about this FML isn't the fact that OP is a goof, it's the comments. 'As an experienced marshmallow toaster...'
Burst into flames? Exaggerate much? FYL tho, because that panic attack must hurt like hell.
Dumb noob... Blow that out don't shake it, idiot

Blow, man, blow! Always blow other wise you risk losing the marshmallow!
YDI. Marshmallows are delicious after they catch fire and you should feel bad for not already knowing this, but the only way to put out the fire is to simply blow on it. It should be fairly obvious from the very start what would happen if you shook it.
