Today, I was running down the hallway when a door opens and hits me right on the face. I'm sitting there with my nose bleeding and a huge bump forming on my head. The guy who comes out is hugely fat, tries to help me up, trips, and falls on me. I accidentally groped his moobs while trying to push him off. FML

Today, I was walking down the street, when I saw a guy in front of me trip and fall forwards, and I quickly jumped forward to steady him. Apparently he thought he was being mugged, and threw his head backwards into my face, leaving my nose a bloody mess. FML

Today, at work, the most handsome guy walked in. Starstruck, I went to greet him and then take him to the owner's office, only to promptly walk really hard into the corner of the door frame, smacking my forehead. I have a massive bruise and my boss won't stop laughing. FML

Today, I tripped while walking down a large flight of stairs. As I fell forward, I instinctively reached out and grabbed onto one of the guys walking up. I ended up taking him and two other people down with me, earning myself a great many disgusted glares as I dusted myself off. FML

Today, I woke up in the hospital with a mild concussion, a sprained neck, and a broken shoulder. How did this happen? Earlier, I ran into the guy I used to bully all throughout school. Once his wife realized who I was, she piledrived me. FML

Today, I ran up to my boyfriend to kiss him when he got home from work. I tripped and I fell on him, and he fell backwards. He ended up hitting his head on the sidewalk and had to get stitches. He also had a concussion. FML

Today, at lunch I was running to my group's table with my friend. She accidentally tripped me, and I slid across the café floor face first on my belly. The whole cafeteria was silent. They then broke out in hysterics when the head janitor ran up to me and yelled 'SAFE!' like a baseball umpire. FML

Ok people the OP never said it was a room door. In every apartment I've been in the laundry rooms and any hallway doors which do not lead to rooms open out. But seriously getting knocked down by a door? I guess I missed the note about the world becoming wimps. I've been hit by a lot of things (branches elbows fists bats metal and wood building supplies) but I've never been knocked off my feet or fell down because of it. Sorry but you sound like a stuck up prick or megabitch, you probably didn't even try to stand when he went to help you up. Let's see here you were running down a hall and didn't have the presence of mind to be ready to avoid a opening door. Hmmm. I sense a fail here on your part. #23: every room in my college has doors like that, and so did the gym in my high school. while it may be "STUPID," don't think it's not possible. and you don't even have to run down a hallway to get hit by one of them - people usually have no reservations about practically throwing the door off its hinges when they leave a classroom. aaand i actually think this is sweet; he actually tried to help you up. i know if this had happened to me the person would have glanced at me and walked off. i really don't think this is so much an FML because he wasn't a douche about it.

I agree w/ #26, i mean exits and large rooms open out as a safety precaution in case of fire, but hallways lined with doors almost always open in. It just depends on the building and rooms. Either way getting smashed by a fat guy sucks so FYL.
