Today, I was taken to my first session with my psychiatrist. The entirety of the facility, from the waiting room to the doc's office was decorated with dead butterflies in glass. I was there for my crippling mottephobia, the irrational fear of moths and butterflies. FML

I'm horribly scared of ants because when I was little my, my whole family went on a trip on the forest. my aunt unrolled a piece of candy and it dropped and rolled away on the floor, she couldn't find it and just let it be. turns out it went under the bed: we slept together /:( in the morning we were big covered in ants from head to toe!! i hate it when my friends stomp on ant hills and let them out! I get really panicked and yell on top of m lungs and run !

*right and it stands for Original Poster

actually it isn't. There is no sarcasm here (dramatic or verbal) so it can't be that. Also, there is no reversal. Irony requires a sort of sarcasm OR a reversal. A reversal would be like making fun of someone for tripping and falling in mud, only to then trip and fall in mud yourself. Another example of something NOT ironic would be to say that you couldn't go to a concert because you were busy practicing to play an instrument. < NOT IRONY

Exposure therapy is common for phobias so think of the decor as your 1st step towards recovery since you were able to look at them and not run away from fear of them like some do in those kind of situations :)

bet that's why your dr sent you there.

Must have been an interesting session.
