When I was 14 I lost and earing on vacation and didn't have money for a good replacement pair. I ended up with a bleeding earlobe and an infection (I only wore them for a week btw) that hasn't completely gone away (4.5 years later) because I am severly allergic to nickel. GL to you, poster.
YDI for being enough of a disgusting, unwashed pig to get an infection in the first place, for wearing earrings, for having piercings of any kind, and for even having ears which to pierce. SHAME on you. You have but one course of action open to you: AMPUTATION!!!!
Coincidentally, this is actually Step 3 in "DocBastard's Guide to Becoming a Cyborg". Step 7 involves injecting molten tungsten into the bone marrow, but I won't elaborate on that lest some of you get queasy.
Doc I say you should enlighten us on this tungsten injection process please. :)
I have eight ear piercings and four backs of my earrings were engulfed by my ear, it was just caused by sleeping in them too much and they don't hurt at all:)
No, you don't. You're supposed to keep them in if you've recently had them pierced. It can take months before you're ready to keep them out overnight.
Same exact thing happened to me. You can either go to a plastic surgeon and pay out of pocket to have it cut out, or go to the ER/Ear, nose, and throat doctor, and pay through your insurance. I chose the latter, and would suggest it. Get it fixed quickly though.
ydi..it's not hard to tell when your ear is infected. go see a doctor.
why would you put earrings in if it's infected
Eurgh... This happened to me before too. I found out that I was allergic to a lot of the metals they use to make cheaper earrings. The first two times I got my ears pierced, they did this and then scarred shut. Oh god, I remember the smell. *gag* I'm so sorry. I know what you're going through.
