it's happened to me, it's not too bad you just have to push it out it shouldn't hurt. it is pretty gross tho... it only took a week or so for this to happen to me, it's not like she totally neglected her ears.

I don't get what the big deal is about sleeping with earrings. I have five ear piercings and I sleep with all of them in all the time, and nothing has ever happened to them in all the years I've had them. Proper care as well as twice daily saline soaks for infected ears and swabbing your ears after said soaks reduces the risk of infection and helps heal the infection. Take better care of your ears next time.
