Today, I was telling my sister about how I am horribly depressed and how I can't function and she responded with, "Oh, shit! I've got to go Jeopardy is on!" FML

I like how some people here says they rather watch tv rather then listen to people bitch about their lives, but they visit fmylife.com everyday to read about people's fml stories, which is also people bitching about their lives.

don't expect your sister to act like a professional. if it's disturbing your everyday functioning it definitely sounds like you could use some help.

the world does not stop for your problems, pick yourself up and jack off to hot steaming asian rice ****

There's an extreme difference between having an off day and being depressed/mentally unstable. I'm probably going to get bitched out for this, but I think its the single boringest thing in the world to listen to people whine. I've had friends that have come up to me like, "I'm depressed" and its like, "what do you want me to do about it?" don't get me wrong.. I've tried to help, but every suggestion gets met with a "yeah, but.." by said friend, and its just annoying. I'm no professional. Neither is your sister. You should see a psychologist to diagnose you. Your sister can't help you if you're really depressed. So don't expect her to suddenly grow a doctorate degree in psychology. The good news is that if you're willing to announce your mentally instability, you've already made the first step to recovering. Let your sister deal with the "bad days" and leave the big stuff to someone whose job it is help. And Jeoporady is a good show. Kbye.

oh...well here, have an attention cookie :)

Your feelings are for yourself and don't expect other people to understand them. There is no telepathy. Learn to cope with them and get over them.

LOL who the hell watches jeopardy nowadays?

Damn, I can't believe there are so many cold hearted people on here. Depression is a serious mental illness and if catching your fav tv show is more important than I feel bad for anybody who comes to you for help. Yes, I understand that some people are just looking for attention but some people just really just need to know that someone cares. Would you rather people just bottle up their emotions and then do something horrible like hurt themselves or others? For all those who would rather watch tv than help their family/friends, I really hope for your sake that you never have to feel like that so you don't have to swallow your bitter medicine.
