Today, I was trying to turn on my computer and couldn't. I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out what was wrong when I finally called my husband for help and made him leave work. He came in, looked at the wall, and plugged it back in. The look on his face said it all. FML

For the record, that little tray that pops out when you push that other button isn't a drink coaster. Hope that helps.

You spent all that time and you never once even bothered to look to see if it was plugged in or not?

Please don't type anymore. Your spelling is atrocious. Don't call people dumb when you're going to make yourself look even dumber.

Wow #69, I agree that she was being dumb, and that she was wrong for making her husband leave work, but I think your response was a little over the top! Way to dramatic, you definitely need to calm yourself down, it's not like you were the one that had to leave work to help her! :)

FAKE ******* FAKE BUT IF THAT DID ACTUALLY HAPPEN HED **** U UP BIETCH

FHL, You made him leave work so you could play on the computer? Couldn't it have waited till he got home from work, you know, where he is earning money??? I would never put up with being that henpecked that I would leave my job to come work on my computer at home. I would do it after work. What were you thinking??? Secondly... If your toaster didn't heat up.. wouldn't you check to see if it was plugged in? If your TV wasn't turning on, wouldn't you at least verify that it was plugged in? 20 minutes and you couldn't do the first thing in troubleshooting... which would be make sure it has power??? WOW, YDI.

well I can kind of see it taking you 10 minutes because maybe you decided to check the nonobvious stuff first like if the comp was hooked up to the monitor an whatnot. then a lot of people don't think from nonobvius to the obvious right away. a lot of people actually can't think of the simple solutions 1st and tend to jump to the more outrageous but more probable possibilities because in all actuallity what would u expect for a reason ur comp doesn't turn on: power cord unplugged or monitor not connected to the comp. (being in a family that normally doesn't unplug comp power cords)

and this is why I quit technical support 2 years ago.
