Today, I was turned down for a job as a cashier at Best Buy. I worked like hell to get into and then graduate from one of the top Telecommunication schools in the country. I spent all my time with extracurriculars to help my resume instead of partying like my friends. I can't even be a cashier. FML

You sound like a driven individual that will give a sustained effort to excel. You are clearly not Best Buy material. Take your rejection as a compliment.

Maybe they were looking for someone with more of a personality and less of a "Grades are my life, so I can get a good job and live the American Dream." You know, someone who sees life as more than a string of A's

Telecommunications involves what? Working in television or mediums like that? I keep thinking telemarketing when I read this, and that's a dead business.

Where do you live? Maybe I could help you out.

LMAO don't you love it when people try to act like there out in the real world when there still in college?

those ******* like denying people like you for being overqualified. yes, you can get denied for being overqualified!

Instead of working so hard on extracirriculars, maybe you could have worked hard to get a real degee. People who get degrees for jobs that are needed can find jobs. Thats why all the jackasses getting out of law school are pissed, there are to many of them for what is needed. Telecommunications is a stupid degree. Thats like saying I couldn't get a good job even though I worked hard to get my degree in masturbating.

You're probably overqualified. Try applying for a real job in your field. Why would you work so hard to get a degree that will land you a decent job and then apply for a shitty one?

chances are u were overqualified...because chances are you werent going to stay there long

You're overqualified, hon. Of course they won't let you be a cashier.

Why would you want to work in New Jersey?
