Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML

fake. a person running into a vehicle won't dent it. unless they've got hellacious force behind them...being pulled by a dog doesn't count. break a tail light? maybe. dent the steel/aluminum/fiber glass, highly unlikely.

GOD DAMN CATS. they ruin everything. i hope your dog ripped it's head off

yeah. i'm pretty sure you wouldnt be on here posting that story if your dog is gone and you broke you ribs. you wouldnt be able to retrieve your dog because your ribs are broken and you'd still be in the hospital right now. and you could've said 'your van' instead of 'a van' for it to sound more believable. Nice try though.

...this site exists for unfortunate stories like this. Why NOT post it? As well, this might not have happened today. it's just FML format. Oh, and I'm fairly sure it wasn't THEIR van... just someone's van. The owner might have seen them denting it. Possibilities.

#21 - A person could have enough force to dent a vehicle. This could very well happen. In a full on sprint, like the OP said that they were in, a person could definitely dent the side of the van.

if you broke two ribs, i doubt you'd be able to type this.

Yeah, cos you know wen you braka a rib you can't use your hands or anything

that happened to me once when my lab was a year old and couldn't hold back on chasing squirrels. i flew into a tree instead of a van. it's usually unexpected. the dog sees the other animal before you do, and the next thing you know, you're flying. in my case, i couldn't let go of the leash because it was around my wrist... and if you're suddenly falling, your reflexes might not let you drop it anyway :D

#25 - People can still type with two broken ribs. It's possible.

I hate people who can't control their animals... ergo I hate you

You people are incapable of typing with broken ribs? Seriously? But... what happened to your hand if you couldn't untangle it and you stopped suddenly with the dog (still running) attached? did your hand break? the leash break? the collar break? or you go unconscious and thus unable to recall? Seriously. If you have a dog you can't restrain (which you shouldn't) you should train it well enough not to chase things things it shouldn't. Like cars. and cats. and little old ladies. and penguins.

#29 - I would like to see a dog chase a penguin. That would make my day.
